our previous Cats

If the photo doesn't encapsulate the joy that is Sandford Big Red Zephyr, now Mango, then I don't know what would. He now resides in sunny Cairns. I happily facilitate travel to the right home. I can even arrange it all for you.

She commenced her show career in 2025 and had some encouraging comments from the judges. I had the right home looking for her colouring and based on her needs emotionally as an individual cat, decided a constant warm lap was her best fit. 

He is Big Red Zephyrs brother. He was an absolute delight to raise and there was quite the agonising over keeping him or rehoming him. Our values that our cats are pets first guides our decisions before showing and breeding considerations so the tough decision was made. He has the most loving home in Hobart. He also has two Sphynx sisters that are adorable... I have found a new breed to swoon over!

A purr machine and Sandfords first sire. He had some show faults so again, his best future was a warm lap. He and one of his Queens now live a life of devoted love and adoration with the vet nurse who fell in love with him at desexing.

She was such a shy cat, I was not able to desensitise her enough to be comfortable with handling at show. She was an exceptional mother cat and gave us our beautiful Zephyr and Ziggy. She now lives with her king Zeus in a beautiful retirement home.

She was my first singleton kitten that was rejected by her mother. She was a delight to raise and now lives a beautiful life in Canberra. I happily facilitate interstate travel and can arrange it for adopters easily.

He was such a huge deal, it was heart breaking to rehome him, however he deserved his very own family without having to share too much. He is adored by his new family and this makes me happy.

She is a beautiful show quality seal point that was my first queen. I didn't get to show her however due to family issues that happened shortly after she came to me. She had one beautiful kitten in 2024 after many failed mating attempts. She rejected her kitten and I hand raised it. She now lives with a lovely lady in Adelaide hills.

Nastassias 3rd litter (first here at our cattery). She had 4 beautiful kittens, Blueberry, Brigitte (now Mao), Ullianna and Petit Heartbreaker.

Autumn was purchased as a show cat with breeding potential, however when she arrived from interstate she had already been bred "accidentally".

It was quite the stressful situation for our cattery (preparedness to raise a litter, reputationally and financially).

So that anyone interested in dealing with or learning about  our cattery is clear:

We NEVER allow our entire cats access to each other unless we are confident that:

​

1. The in-breeding co-efficient calculation is a desirable level (6.25% or less) 

​

2. DNA tests confirm  there is:

-no risk of heritable diseases if a mating is successful​

- that colour and type are likely to be to standard if a mating is successful

​​

3. That I have ample suitable homes on our wait list 

​​

Despite the issues faced, Autumn raised her litter and has now retired.

She now lives in NSW to a lovely one pet only home with two young girls like my own daughters that will love her as  she deserves.
